The HC-V270 Full HD Camcorder from Panasonic features Full HD 1920 x 1080 recording and a 28mm wide-angle lens with a large 50x optical and 90x intelligent zoom range. It can also take up to 10 Megapixel still images. To suppress shakes and blurring with handheld shots, especially at long zoom lengths, the camcorder has built-in with 5-axis image stabilization. As a further aid, a Level Shot function is available that automatically detects and corrects unwanted tilting, helping to keep your horizons level. To make the camcorder easy for anyone to use, the camcorder offers an intelligent Auto (iA) mode that automatically adjusts image settings and activates functions for optimal results.
The camcorder features built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and is NFC (near-field communication) enabled for one-touch pairing with compatible mobile devices. This lets you use the Panasonic Image App to remotely control the camcorder, view photos and video, and upload your content directly to a social networking site. You can even broadcast 1080p video in real-time using the Ustream video service to share moments with family and friends all over the world. There is also a Baby Monitor feature that allows you to check in on a sleeping baby from anywhere, so long that the camcorder is connected to your home network. You can speak to the baby using your smartphone and even be notified when the baby cries or when a voice is detected in the room.
28mm Wide-Angle Lens
The 28mm wide-angle lens allows you to fit more people and more of the background into the frame when working in tight spaces. It fits your subjects in even when you shoot from up close, letting you get the camcorder’s microphone closer to the action for improved audio pick up.
50x Optical Zoom and 90x Intelligent Zoom
Get closer to the action with the camcorder’s large 50x optical zoom range. When you need to get even closer, you can push in up to 90x using the intelligent zoom function. Intelligent zoom combines digital zoom, sharpening, and advanced image up-scaling technology to deliver crisper images.
Backside Illuminated Sensor
A backside illuminated sensor is incorporated in the camcorder, letting you shot in lower light situations with reduced image noise.
5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S.+ and Level Shot
From wide-angle to powerful zoom shots, HYBRID O.I.S.+ uses five-axis correction to suppress unwanted shakes a jitters. This lets you capture crisper, clearer images in nearly any shooting situation. Level Shot automatically detects and corrects tilting in images, helping to keep your horizon lines level. It can be adjusted to three different levels – OFF, Normal or Strong) – depending on shooting situations.
iA (Intelligent Auto) / iA Plus Mode
iA mode makes it easy to just grab the camcorder and begin shooting. It senses shooting conditions to automatically adjust settings and activate functions for optimal results. This powerful mode also lets you adjust exposure compensation and white balance with a single button on the LCD.
Built-In Wi-Fi & NFC One Touch Connectivity
Built-in Wi-Fi for home or office network compatibility is featured in these camcorders, along with NFC (near-field communication) functionality, for hooking up your camcorder to NFC enabled devices. You can also live stream video to paired devices over the Internet using Ustream.
Baby Monitor Feature
The camera includes a Baby Monitor feature which enables you to check on a sleeping baby in another room with the camcorder connected to home network with a smartphone. You can speak to the baby using your smartphone, or have notification sent to your smartphone when your baby’s crying voice or other sound is detected.
Creative Control Effects
Add effects to your video for further enhancing your creativity. Built-in Creative Control modes include Miniature Effect, 8mm Movie, Silent Movie, and Time Lapse Recording.
Optional Remote Pan/Tilt Cradle
Connect to an optional pan-tilt cradle to use the camera’s motion sensor and face recognition functions to automatically pan and tilt to follow faces. You can also operate the cradle and camcorder remotely from your smartphone or tablet with the Panasonic Image App.
